Description

I had sleepover at one of my sister's home and we had really fun together. Also her husband and their dog were also happy I was there. We watched movies on Netflix. We watched The Lorax and Horton Hears a Who, because I love cartoons and I was willing to watch and know them. I can confirm that Horton Hears a Who is much better than The Lorax. I have to admit thought, "How Bad Can I Be?" is my favorite song.

I can quess some of you saying: "But tultsi93! You can't like Horton Hears a Who! It's an anti-abortion movie!"

Well, my dear viewer, Dr. Seuss was a pro-choice. It's been proved several times that he supported Planned Parenthood and his widow, Audrey Weisel, is donating money to it every year (which makes me question their political side). Pro-Life Movement just took piece of his work to their own political agendas in 1986 not caring about Dr. Seuss' wish, and still do. "Person is a person, no matter how small" was a reference to the victims of the Occupation of Japan, not to a embryo/fetus. Horton Hears a Who isn't an anti-abortion movie, and this is coming from someone WHO IS PRO-LIFE!

The Lorax may have once become on TV but I didn't bother to watch entire movie and I have watched Nostalgia Critic's review of it. No, I'm not a Seuss Nazi or an ass-kisser. I'm just telling my own opinion from my own experiences. If you disagree with me, you're allowed to do so, everybody has different opinions, but do it MATURELLY. If you shout me and then block me, I'll hide your comment.

Well, my reasons why Horton Hears a Who is my favorite are:

1) It's loyal to original story: There was no true bad guys in Horton Hears a Who. Sour Kangaroo wasn't evil: she was just ignorant. Monkeys weren't evil: they were just ignorant. The Congress of Whoville wasn't evil: it was just ignorant. Evil Vlad wasn't evil either, he was as ignorant as the rest of the punch, but The Lorax otherwise: *sigh* I so hate it. O'Hare is vain character who ruins the originality of Dr. Seuss' books, and Aurdey wasn't that useful either. Real message of The Lorax is there're not true bad guys in the World, there're just humans, and that Once-ler's situation could've happened to anyone. But of course, that has to be changed, because Illumination Entertainment wouldn't allow people (and especially children) "Baww, feel badh apoat themsefs!11KIMm: Crying" Dammit, even The Grinch from early 2000s is better than this trash!

2) Moral is still same: Firstly, Horton Hears a Who. A book: "Life is valuable." A movie: "Life is valuable." Secondly, The Lorax. A book: "Everyone make mistakes. Choose your path wisely." A movie: "Relax. Just plant a new seed and everything is fixed in no time. And if you even write a letter, you're tree-cutting piece of shit." What a wonderful lesson to kids! I am a dummy! Like every pro-environment movie, The Lorax doesn't make anyone wanting to protect nature, it's in vice versa, makes everyone wanting to cut down all trees and polute nature more because of its own irksomeness! Horton Hears a Who again inspirases people. It makes them to think of discrimination and killing innocent people, and make them really want to change the Wolrd safer and more peaceful place to live in. I salute Blue Sky Studios. :salute: rvmp

3) It's more enjoyable: It has humor which actually made me laugh and it had many colorful characters. I don't hate anyone of them in Horton Hears a Who, they're all amazing, personal and remembable! In The Lorax, I didn't find any character I would've like, not even Once-ler. They all felt so plastic and fake, like Thneedville.

4) Dr. Seuss easter eggs: The Lorax didn't have them, or maybe I am too stupid to look carefully. In Horton Hears a Who, I found many of them.

- Hat from Cat in the Hat
- Goldfish from Cat in the Hat
- Trufulla tree from The Lorax
- Green eggs from Green Eggs and Ham
- Beachball from Sneetches
- Grinch from How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Are there other easter eggs I missed? Please, tell me. Thanks!

If you don't know what Horton Hears a Who is, I recommend you to either read a book or watch a movie, 1970 version or 2008 version, it doesn't matter which one you watch. They're both aqually good.
If you don't know what The Lorax is, I recommend you to either read a book or watch the 1972 movie which really is loyal to actual story. Unlike that 2012 horsecrap I hate. If you watch it, well, there's nothing I can do then. It's still better than Cat in the Hat which I despise.

Horton Hears a Who belongs to Dr. Seuss and Blue Sky Studios.
The Lorax belong to Dr. Seuss and Illumination Entertainment.
